I met Chris Brewer (@livestrongcb) at a TTIA event earlier this year. He was one of the speakers, and he was great. We talked afterward and he promptly invited me for a tour of the awesome Livestrong HQ. I was blown away at the opportunity to see the nerve center of such a great charity.

The facility itself is very green. In fact they are going for Gold LEAD certification. All the art is from Lance’s personal collection, so none of the money raised went into making the office prettified.

Some news that Chris was able to share with me is something that touched my heart. They are opening an intake center for people who are newly diagnosed with cancer. People can just walk in off the street and get help with all the little things that go along with seeking treatment. Things like childcare while in chemotherapy, or transportation to and from the hospital if they need it. The pictures of the new addition are the last pictures in the gallery.
